M. Bocci, «La Chiesa in quanto tale». Il Concilio indiviso, da Gioventù Studentesca a Comunione e Liberazione Il saggio analizza il rapporto di Gioventù Studentesca, poi Comunione e Liberazione, con il Concilio Vaticano II, tenendo conto delle prime acquisizioni storiografiche sull’argomento verificate però con un’attenta indagine delle fonti documentarie disponibili, per individuare i luoghi genetici più significativi del confronto che questo movimento ha sviluppato con il Concilio e le tematiche che hanno segnato la recezione, per certi versi creativa, operata da GS/CL. Sono individuate alcune fasi di tale recezione, che in parte anticipa e poi accoglie e assimila il lascito conciliare, accentuandone aspetti consonanti con il carisma del movimento, a sua volta segnato dai cambiamenti post-conciliari. La particolarità di questa recezione si coglie nell’attenzione a non perdere di vista i nuclei portanti dell’evento conciliare e nella presa di distanza da letture del Vaticano II che hanno evidenziato solo alcuni aspetti del suo insegnamento, con il pericolo – per CL – di produrre interpretazioni non attendibili e non condivisibili. The undivided Council, from Student Youth to Communion and Liberation In this essay the Author analyses the relationship between Gioventù Studentesca (literally Student Youth) – later known as Communion and Liberation – and the Second Vatican Council. The first historiographical contributions available on the subject have been taken into consideration – after a careful check of their documentary sources – in order to find out the beginnings of the dialogue that this movement was able to establish with the Council, and to point out the main themes of SY/CL’s creative reception. This reception – which can be divided into various phases – anticipates, in a sense, the legacy of the Council; in a second moment the movement accepted and assimilated it, emphasizing the aspects which were more consistent with its charisma – and despite the consequences on it of the post-conciliar changes. The peculiarity of this reception is evident in the effort not to lose sight of the Council’s fundamental values and in the movement’s distancing from restictive interpretations of the Second Vatican Council, which - according to CL – would bring to unreliable and unacceptable conclusions.
